Face and Skin Data Protection

🔒 Important: AcneTune does not retain, store, or collect any face data, skin analysis data, or biometric information from the photos you upload. Your photos are processed temporarily by our AI partners solely for skin analysis and treatment visualization purposes and are automatically deleted immediately after processing. No facial recognition data is extracted, stored, or used for any other purpose.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

  • Apple ID (handled securely through Apple's authentication)
  • Credit balance and purchase history (stored locally and synced via CloudKit)

Support Communications

When you contact us for support, we collect your email address and any information you provide in your messages.

Content You Create

  • Photos you upload for skin analysis
  • Before/after images you create (stored temporarily for 7 days)
  • Analysis metadata (timestamps, settings used)

Technical Information

  • Device information (iOS version, device model)
  • App usage data and crash reports
  • Network information for service delivery

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain our AI skin analysis services
  • Process your payments and manage credits
  • Improve app performance and user experience
  • Provide customer support
  • Send important updates about the service
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud

3. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

Your credit balance and analysis history are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and synced via Apple's CloudKit.

Cloud Processing

Images you upload are temporarily processed by our AI partners (including fal.ai) to generate skin analysis results. These images are automatically deleted immediately after processing. No face data, facial recognition information, or biometric data is retained or stored.

Abuse Prevention

We may temporarily retain uploaded content for a limited period (up to 72 hours) solely for the purpose of detecting, preventing, and investigating abuse, illegal activity, or violations of our Terms of Service. This data is automatically deleted after this period and is never used for any other purpose.

Result Storage

Generated analysis images are stored for 7 days and then automatically deleted.

Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure API communications, and App Attest verification.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Apple CloudKit: For secure data synchronization
  • fal.ai: AI provider for skin analysis processing (images processed temporarily, not stored)
  • Additional AI Providers: For image processing services (images processed temporarily, not stored)
  • Cloudflare Workers: For secure API proxy and image processing
  • RevenueCat: For in-app purchase management

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.

5. Data Retention

  • Generated analysis images: 7 days
  • Credit balance: As long as you use the app
  • Analysis history: Retained locally on your device
  • Support communications: Up to 2 years

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request data deletion (via Settings → Delete Account)
  • Opt-out of data collection where applicable
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

7. Children's Privacy

AcneTune is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
